Biography
Tom Preston-Werner cofounded software development platform GitHub in 2008.
Microsoft bought the company for $7.5 billion, all in stock, in 2018.
Preston-Werner had left the firm in 2014 in the wake of harassment allegations, which he denied.
Following an investigation, GitHub said it did not find evidence of harassment, but that it "did find evidence of mistakes and errors of judgment."
He cofounded language learning platform Chatterbug in 2016.
