Biography

Tsai Hong-tu is the chairman of Cathay Financial Holdings, a leading financial services company in Taiwan.

The company made his father, Tsai Wan-lin, Taiwan's wealthiest man before he died in 2004.

Brothers Cheng-ta and T.Y. are billionaires, as are their cousins Richard and Daniel Tsai.

Hong-tu's son, Tzung-han, was appointed vice chairman of Cathay in 2025.
