Biography

Wee Ee Cheong is deputy chairman and CEO of United Overseas Bank, Singapore's third-largest bank by assets.

His father, Wee Cho Yaw, who was chairman emeritus of UOB, died in 2024 at age 95.

He is the eldest of five children.

His brother Wee Ee Lim, also a billionaire, has a board seat.

In March 2025, the estate of his father, the late Wee Chow Yaw, was transferred to him, his mother and siblings, completing a process that happened over many months.
