Biography

Bill Boyd cofounded Las Vegas-based casino firm Boyd Gaming Corporation with his father, Sam Boyd, in 1975.

He took over as CEO of the company after his father passed away in 1993 and served in that role until 2008.

He now serves as chairman emeritus and owns around 17% of the company.

Boyd Gaming, which is publicly traded, has 28 casino properties in 10 different states.
