Biography

Zhang Jianzhong is the chairman and CEO of Moore Threads Technology, a semiconductor maker that is vying to be the Nvidia of China.

He took the company public in Shanghai in December 2025, raising $1.1 billion.

Before founding Beijing-based Moore Threads in 2020, Zhang once led Nvidia's China business.

Moore Threads was added in 2023 to a U.S. trade blacklist, which prevents it from accessing advanced American chipmaking technologies.
