Biography

Zhao Yan is the chairman and CEO of Shanghai-listed Bloomage Biotechnology, a biotech company best known for making hyaluronic acid, an ingredient widely used in beauty products.

Not content with just being a supplier, Zhao has established her own skincare brands that include the Biohyalux line for facial creams, gels and masks.

To expand the use of hyaluronic acid, Bloomage also sells products such as candies and bottled water infused with the compound.

Besides Bloomage, Zhao has interests in finance, property and sports as well.
